Leadership old
I am honored in having the opportunity of taking some leadership roles in national and international groups, conferences, and committees. In the following you can find a list of workshops, meetings, and conferences I am/was involved in:
- Chair of the annual Workshop on Safety of Extended Dry Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel (SEDS), GRS Garching, Germany. International conference on advances in the field of safety aspects of extended dry storage of spent nuclear fuel. The workshop is always held in the first week of June. Further information can be found here: 2018 (proceedings), 2019.
- Co-Chair representing Europe at the International Subcommittee in the Extended Storage Collaboration Program of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI-ESCP). I am co-chairing this subcommittee since 2019.
- International Advisory Committee and Track Leader Uncertainty and Sensitivity Analysis, International Conference on Nuclear Criticality Safety (ICNC 2019), Paris (France), Sept. 15-20 2019.
- Coordinator of OECD-NEA Working Party on Nuclear Criticality Safety Sub-Group Role of Integral Experiment Uncertainties and Covariance Data in Criticality Safety Validation. I am coordinatig this Sub-Group since 2018. Details can be found here.
- Chair of the Symposium Verlängerte Zwischenlagerung, June, 22nd – 23rd 2017, GRS Garching, Germany. German-Swiss symposium on aspects of extended storage of spent nuclear fuel.
- Chair of the Workshop on Integral Experiment Covariance Data for Critical Safety Validation, 9th – 11th 2016, GRS Garching, Germany. International Workshop on the topic of generation and usage of covariance data of critical experiments. Abstract book can be found here.
- Session Co-chair Criticality Experiments at the International Conference on Nuclear Criticality Safety (ICNC 2015), Charlotte, NC (USA), Sept. 13-17, 2015.
- Delegate of Germany to the OECD/NEA Working Party on Nuclear Criticality Safety (WPNCS). The WPNCS deals with technical and scientific issues relevant to criticality safety. Specific areas of interest include (but are not limited to) investigations of static and transient configurations encountered in the nuclear fuel cycle including fuel fabrication, transport and storage. Details can be found here.
