I am still alive… A lot of things changed since my last post. I am now a researcher at the GRS in Munich and my main subject is now nuclear physics. In the following days I will update my blog a little.
My first day as a PostDoc!
After finishing my PhD with the defense last week, I started today my new/old job. I am now a PostDoc at the Cosmology group of the physics faculty in Bielefeld. Basically doing the same as before, but now got paid as a Researcher! Cool!
Yesterday a new article was posted on the arxiv, of which I am one of the co-Authors. It concerns the effect of a lorentz boosted cut sky of the CMB. For more details check this out.
…in Cleveland. Before I leave back to Bielefeld, I´ll enjoy the last weekend in a city which is certainly not a “mistake by the lake”.
in the newest magazine NewScientist. You can find the article here. I guess tonight you find me in the bar….
…how nice it is listening to classical music. Yesterday I listend to “Prologue in the Heavens” by Arrigo Boito and some parts of Carl Orff´s “Carmina Burana”, played by the Cleveland Orchestra in the Severance Hall. It was a very nice presentation I completely enjoyed. I´ll try to go there more often, also because the tickets for CWRU affiliated are just 10 Dollars.
…just in a 20 sqm room, calculating and/or watching TV is for sure not the thing to do. Instead of trying to understand someone else´s FORTRAN code for calculating SuSy dark matter densities, I should maybe next weekend take a look at this.
…interested in Relativity and Physics. Here is a superior webpage concerning Einstein and his theory. I forgot about this webpage for a few years and rediscovered it this weekend. It´s really worth browsing it.
